Name: Lujayn Aellô
Meaning: Silver whirlwind/storm wind
Nickname(s): Jay, Techie
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Preference: Asexual
Profession: Technology lecturer
Physical Appearances:
Lujayn is of Arabic descent, with dusky skin and thick, dark hair. Her hair reaches her waist when loose, and has a slight kink to it. Her eyes are an indiscernible black/brown shade, and seem to stare right through you (especially if you have been attempting to doss in her class). They are almond-shaped and very slightly slanted upwards at the outer corners. Her eyelashes are dark and long, brushing against her glasses when she blinks.
With a face that would have been more suited to a runway than a classroom, striking Lujayn always wears make-up (generally in golden or bronze tones), and plucks her eyebrows into thin, neat arches. She never wears mascara (she has enough trouble with her lashes hitting her glasses as it is) but always has soft khol liner in either black, brown, or bronze (depending on her mood). She wears a light-weight foundation to even her skin, and a warm-tone blush on her high, defined cheekbones. Her mouth is full, considered by some to be too full, and her lips always lipstick-ed and lip-lined.
Built lithe and tall, Lujayn has only a little shape; rather, she is long and straight-up-straight-down. Her shoulders are roughly the same width as her hips, and she has but a modest bust. Though very slim, it would be foolish to assume that she is weak; the majority of Lujayn's figure consists of muscle.
It would be fair to say that Lujayn is viewed as 'handsome' or 'striking' rather than 'beautiful' or 'pretty'.
Piercings: One in each ear, one in her nose (removed for class-hours)
Tattoos: The Omega symbol on her left ankle.
Other distinguishing features: Lujayn has a birthmark on her inner right thigh.
Clothing Style: Smart-casual during work hours, jeans-and-top out of work hours.

Strengths:
- Technology. Well, she ought to; she's been using it for the past who-knows-how-long! Lujayn is so in tune with technology that she can almost project her awareness into a computer and 'see' the inner workings.
- Physicality. Not content with just playing with her beloved technology, Lujayn works hard to keep herself in top physical condition- she doesn't want to be caught out in a fight with the Seven.
...again. - Patience. Hacking is not a five-minute job. Nor is searching for the one who will lead her to destroying the Seven. Patience is something Lujayn has had to cultivate in her long, varied life.
Weaknesses:
- Petty. Don't piss her off. No, seriously. Lujayn is capable of holding a grudge for a very long time, and can be quite imaginative in her ways of getting revenge. It doesn't even have to be a particularly big slight either; it could simply be the way you said "good morning" that day.
- Needs direction. Really, Lujayn single-mindedly wants to wipe out the Elemental. What sort of world needs an idiot who can command the elements, anyway? Not the world she wants to live in, certainly! The problem is, even though she knows there are others in the way, Lujayn would quite happily just head for the Elemental. Without someone to point out the lack of logic in her 'plan', she would probably have been sent back to the Rift centuries ago.
- Beautiful clothing. Even millennia-old anti-Elementalists need to dress, and Lujayn loves clothing. She has seen fashions come and go, and is always determined to be on the forefront of them. No matter how expensive the 'hobby' is, she will always find a way to pursue it. Yes, even through theft/fraud; who said she had to have morals?
- Love. In a strange, twisted way, Lujayn wants someone to share her life with. Someone who doesn't care that she has an odd affinity to all things technical, that she is petty and vindictive, or that she's a millennia-old Kalieaen woman who's been body-hopping since being banished through an inter-dimensional rift. She always seems to fall for the wrong person, though, and invariably ends up getting her heart broken (before she breaks the offender).
- Techno-addict. The ability to link with technology has become an addiction to Lujayn; she craves it, needs it almost as badly as she needs to breathe. Given half a chance (and without her burning desire to torture and kill the Elemental) she would spend all day every day linking with different technologies and losing herself to the comfort of cold wiring.
Fears:
- Being trapped back in the Rift. Well, it was boring. And the world now has the sort of technology she had only ever dreamed of- she doesn't want to lose that. In any case, have you any idea how painful it is having your spirit ripped from your body?
- The Elemental. She hates the Elemental, but she also fears them. They command things she cannot fully understand, cannot compute. Their heat can burn her wires, the water and cold warp them. Alone, with her power, she cannot destroy them, and that frightens Lujayn more than it ought to.
- Prison. A simple enough fear, really; the amount of fraud, embezzlement and outright theft she has committed would have Lujayn locked up for a very long time. She has heard many, many horror stories of jails. Not to mention that if she were in jail, she would not be able to lose herself to technology.
Personality: A study in contradiction, Lujayn is cold and calculating, yet passionate and hot-headed. She has an astounding amount of patience, but bubbles under the surface with frustration. On the one hand, she exists solely to torture and kill the Elemental, one of those responsible for her spirit being torn free of her body and banished into the Rift. On the other hand, Lujayn just wants to be around technology, to link with it and feel the reckless abandon.
As a teacher, Lujayn is relatively popular. She is sparing with her praise, but sparing also with insults. Her patience in waiting for her leader extends to her pupils, and through she will not go out of her way to assist anyone, she does not push a student to rush if they need more time to understand a concept. She does not really associate with her fellow teachers, preferring instead the company of online 'friends', and the company (such as it is) of her computers and other bits of technology.
She feels the headmistress is too focussed on tradition and 'moral values', and has no time for her. She keeps the job at the school simply because it is a hotbed of supernatural tension, and she is almost certain that some of her comrades are in the vicinity. Lujayn also suspects that all, or at least some, of the Seven are around.
Prone to bouts of distraction, Lujayn occasionally has trouble keeping the spirit of the body she has stolen from taking it back. Though she has the power to "possess" a body, Lujayn has not the power to link permanently with it and enter a rebirth cycle, or to permanently banish the body's true owner. Instead, she is constantly harried by the 'ghost' of her latest body's original spirit, and has to actively concentrate on keeping it from re-entering and pushing her out.
Family: Her real family is deceased, and Lujayn has no interest in the family of the body she has commandeered.
Background: Originally, Lujayn was an inventor of her clan, lauded as a genius. Due to that, she was secluded from her family, and kept in her own building, treated with respect and reverence, but never friendliness. Her family was excited to have someone so important within their ranks, someone whose name was spoken in the same reverent tone as the Chosen Seven, and so did not fight the seclusion.
Lujayn found she had the ability to create small amounts of lightning within her, and with the help of some of her other inventions came up with a form of electric lighting. Her invention got her fame further fame, fewer friends, and a comfortable income she was able to spend on importing extravagant clothing from other Fae races. If she could not spend time with people, she would spend time making herself happy instead.
The first she heard of someone warring against the Chosen was when they came to her, seeking some of her lightning inventions. They treated her differently than her clan did; they spoke to her like she was a person, not just the genius inventor. They told her of their mission, how they just wanted what was rightfully theirs, and it made sense to her. Why shouldn't one fight for what belonged to them? Lujayn created weapons for them with her power, instead of just creating tools for light and warmth. When the time came for that person to leave, she followed, determined to make a difference.
Unfortunately, she - and the others the person gathered - were defeated at the hands of the Chosen. Her inventions, her mild Elemental creations, had been no match for the full force of the Chosen Elemental. Her spirit was ripped from her body and thrust through into the Rift between dimensions. It was unimaginable pain, and for a very long time Lujayn could think of nothing but the pain, and the horrible feeling that she had been betrayed by her own race. When she calmed down enough, she was able to remember what her leader had told her before they went into the final battle; instructions on how to possess bodies if the worst should happen. Lujayn had hardly listened - with such a charismatic and powerful leader, how could they lose? - but she had picked up the basics.
It took her over a very long time to master the ability to get out of the Rift, and pull a spirit from its body. She lived through a fascinating industrial time, switched bodies when that one decayed, in time to witness a terrible war. She felt no empathy for those around her; they were humans, they didn't matter. All that mattered was finding her leader again, then finding the Chosen, and wiping them out.
She became slightly diverted by the advances in technology. Things she had created before her 'demise' were becoming mainstream, and things she had only dreamed of creating were also coming into play. Soon Lujayn's goal became twofold; destroy the Chosen, and stay in this world.
She has been at the school for two years now, waiting for something, anything to happen. She feels it is close, though what it is, Lujayn is still unsure of.
